September 7th, 2019

On September 7, 2019, I finally said “I do” to the love of my life. It was a long time coming, and probably the most stressful couple of weeks prior to the big day. But we survived and it was the most beautiful day ever! If there is anything we learned, it was to have a really great planner who can take care of anything that happens the day of your wedding and help turn a venue space into your dream wedding reception.

Christina was absolutely amazing through all of the little hiccups we had with things breaking, forgetting signage stands, and    making sure every little detail was set up to perfection in less than 2 hours time. I must applaud her at coordinating everything and making our reception venue look SO beautiful and everything was placed just as I had imagined.

Christina was so helpful in communicating with all of our vendors to make sure they knew what time to be present and prepared for set up and any other details they needed. She created our night’s timeline and shared that with all vendors so we had one less thing to stress about the month of our wedding. I cannot stress enough about how necessary it is to at least have a month of/day of wedding planner because amongst trying to get ready for your big day, the last thing you want to do is have vendors calling you and everyone under the sun asking you questions of where they need to go or what things need to be placed where. Christina has been fantastic to work along side with and I highly recommend you reaching out to her for your big day! She puts in the time, effort and has the energy needed to keep everything and everyone afloat on your big day! I put all my trust in Christina to make my fairytale wedding come true and she helped me make it happen. Thank you Christina! Email her for Inquiry to help plan your wedding day or next big event! Let her know I sent you. ☺️

4 Months Until I Do!

Happy Tuesday loves! It’s been a hot minute since I have last been on here and I promise the posts will come back soon. Until then, I wanted to share some updates on how wedding planning is coming along!

So we are only 4 months away! **HAS MINI HEART ATTACK** If there is any advice I can give you future brides to be, it’s no matter how far out you are planning your wedding, start getting things done as soon as you can because one minute you have 11 months until the wedding and the next thing you know you are picking up your wedding dress and only have 4 months to pick out your wedding bands, find transportation, get the groomsman tuxedos, and make sure all your girls are on the same page as you! Say WHAT?! Yeah, its been nothing short of hectic and eventful to say the least. But, you can only control so much before bridezilla starts to come out. Just kidding…kind of.

The great news is, we got all of our vendors and I even found an amazing make up artist and hair stylist! I was certainly sweating there for a while as I contacted hair stylist after hair stylist and all were booked! Thank goodness I found an amazing hair stylist, Sara, who I am so excited to work with!

All of our wedding vendors are listed below in case you are in need of a specific vendor type and are not sure where to go. Make sure to tell them I sent you! I did a lot of research on all of these people and found that their style of work would work best with our wedding theme and style.

February 14th

Oh Valentine’s Day…Some of us love it! Others of us hate it, and most of us don’t think much of it. Well, I used to not care for it myself. The day was just another day but with some added candies and activities at school. It was a day all my girlfriends and I would guess whose boyfriend would get who what.

Now as I have grown older and met my special love, the date and holiday has since grown on me. I see it as a day to express and show those who we love and care about, how much we really love and cherish them.

It may be because I finally found my valentine or because my valentines birthday is literally Valentine’s Day (How romantic, right)! Well, not so much, Valentine’s Day is Patrick’s birthday and that’s really what we celebrate! Even though he never fails with spoiling me, I have grown to appreciate the day as a day to show those you love how much you appreciate them. I enjoy buying flowers for my mother and sending appreciative messages to all my best friends, and of course sending my love to my fiancé. While Patrick wasn’t able to make it in town for us to take some cute valentine’s photos, I did get to do a “Galantines” theme photo shoot with my bestie/maid of honor this year, and it was so much fun!

So whether Valentine’s Day is your favorite day or not, try to remember, it is what you make of it. There’s a reason Galantine’s is becoming so much more popular! Go out with your friends, or stay in and take a hot bath, eat some pizza with a glass of wine, or go on that fancy date with your significant other! Enjoy the day and just know you are loved.

Thanks for reading along! Happy Valentine’s Day my little lovers.

Time for a wedding planner!

7 months! We are only seven months away from our wedding date! Let me tell you, planning a wedding is not all butterflies and fairies, especially when your other half does not live in the same state. Thankfully, we live in the age of Instagram and networking! This is where I found the sweetest women in the midst of trying to make sure all of our vendors are locked in place and deposits are paid, I knew I needed some help. So let me introduce Christina!

Christina is a perfectionist, as am I, so I know she will help us execute of all of the details perfectly come wedding day. We talked for a solid hour initially as we began bouncing ideas off each other, and she was always one step ahead of me. She was thinking about how everything will be set, flow together, how time frames will work out, everything. She knows exactly what she is doing! I love how I could describe my vision to Christina and she knew exactly what I wanted, plus she had great ideas to add along. When I took her to see our venue and speak with our catering coordinator, she had all the best questions to ask. I’m very glad we are on the same page with how I wanted the room to be set up.

She is located in LA, but helps brides and grooms plan their weddings all over southern California. I knew I would want someone to help pull all of the strings together come 30 days before the wedding because lets face it, the most stressful time of wedding planning is when everything is coming down to the wire! Christina will be in the loop all the way, following up to the month of the wedding so I can have her step in at any moment I may need/want her assistance! I highly recommend looking into getting a wedding planner at least for “month-of” planning, to help take all of the extra stress off of your back to be able to enjoy the last 30 days of being a fiancé! Christina is unlike any other wedding planner I had spoken with because even though I only needed a month of planner, she is doing so much more. She is going to be involved with all vendors I choose and speak with along the way, so I don’t have to wait until the last 30 days to catch her up with all of the planning I had been doing prior! I cannot wait to work closer with Christina and share more fun wedding planning updates with you all!!!

Please feel free to email Christina Andriotis, and follow her on Instagram, if you are looking for a wedding planner to help with all of your upcoming planning needs! check out her website at Love Loud Events.

Keeping it Real

Hey friends!

I’ve been posting more on the gram than on here because lets face it, its easier to snap a photo, edit, caption and post then coming up with a full blog post to edit, plan out a location, time, and outfit to get the perfect photos to go along with you post. I haven’t traveled anywhere lately, and weekends have just been busy catching up wth things that have been putting off since the holidays. And then next thing I know, I haven’t shared a post in a month.

So as much as i’d love to show you my latest fashion finds, I’m taking a break from the mall for a SHORT time. Until then, I have plenty of wedding updates that are getting locked into place as I write this. YAY! There’s nothing I love more than feeling accomplished and checking things off of my list. I was never the type of person to wait until the last second to finish something. So, having even 8 months left to plan has me running around locking in contracts that I have been sitting on for a couple months now!

Although, I will share with you that I know most of you enjoy posts that are about fashion and outfits and the latest new. Well, I do too…Trust me. I’d shop every single day if funds allowed. But in reality its the year of my wedding, my student loan just hit, and Patrick and I will hopefully be purchasing a house! 2019 just got expense and I haven’t even done much unnecessary shopping to share with you all.

Anyways, I’m just as human as you and man is life crazy sometimes! I appreciate those of you that continue to support me and my little blog! I am looking forward to sharing more wedding planning tips with you all and my new vendors! I also have a VERY exciting little surprise to introduce to you all soon!

Happy Sunday! For More posts please follow @carolinelopresti

Let Them Eat Cake

Hello Friends!

I hope everyone’s new year is off to a great start! Now that we are in 2019, it’s time to hit the ground running with locking in all of our vendors for the wedding. We are now just 8 months out, and I’m dashing to get our Save-the-dates out the door, get the flowers under budget, and get our cake flavors narrowed down. Our goal is to get all of this done by end of February, so my time is running out.

This was definitely the most fun wedding planning activity I have gotten to do so far…BESIDES getting my dress! I mean who else wouldn’t love a reason to taste every different cake flavor available to them with frosting pairings. And oh, did I mention they served champagne too? Honestly, cakes are so expensive, and it is hard for Patrick and I to justify spending $1000 on a CAKE! Seriously, I was blown away at how much we were being quoted from the beginning. Thankfully, I have been following a little cake shop on Instagram, located on Grand Ave in Escondido, for a while now. It’s called Cute Cakes! (I love the name haha) I discovered them one day when my uncle pointed them out to me one day while at a car show! You never know what you’re going to find sometimes!

Thank you, social media, and thank you Uncle, for pointing this place out to me! They have been so great working with us on getting us our dream cake with our not so dreamy budget. ha ha I can’t wait to see the final result after working so closely with Cute Cakes to work up the perfect cake to fit our wedding day!

Well, thats all the cake I have for you all for now! Thanks for following along. Be sure to follow me @carolinelopresti for daily posts.

New Year, New Goals, New Last Name!

Happy New Year’s everyone! I know it’s been a while since I have posted anything, but I am back and ready to share so many exciting things to come in 2019! I really can’t complain much about 2018 because it was honestly one of the best years of my life thus far. I got engaged, graduated from my dream school, started this blog, got a new job that I really enjoy, and met so many new people throughout it all! With all that being said, I am so excited for 2019 because I get to marry my best friend!

First off, holy moly, I am getting married this year! I just cannot wrap my head around how fast the years have flown by! I have so much still to do and to plan but I will be sharing everything with you all along the way. With the holidays and Patrick in town I have been running around by the edge of my seat. As fun as Christmas and New Years were, I am so excited to jump into 2019 with both feet forward and make the most of these last few months of spending weekends with my close friends and family before my life changes and I gain a husband!

Okay, Okay so you get it, I am so excited to get married. Well, I really wanted to hop on here to say I’m not really one to stick to new years resolutions. I always make one, but by the end of January, let me tell you, I’ve completely lost sight of those resolutions. Does this happen to anyone else?? So, I decided to break it all up into making small short term goals. Like paying off all my debt.. lets face it, my student loan payment just made an appearance saying, “first payment DUE!” Excuse me while I go cry… So rather than making a goal to pay everything off, I wanted to make a goal to spend less each week and put that toward paying things off. Sorry GNO, that extra glass of wine at dinner is getting cut!

Did someone say wedding bod?! Yikes, theres a goal along with the rest of

the world, the fitness goals. Always lost by the spring. Well, fitting a dress you sized down on is great motivation! But rather than, “I’m going to get in shape,” I am going with the alternative to cut the sugars and just start doing some form of exercise to start out. If you are anything like me, It is all about the small goals to get to the bigger goals. Anyways, if you are already loosing sight of your 2019 resolutions, try to break it down like I have! I hope this helps and lets make it a great year!

How I Asked My Bridesmaids

Hi Babes!!! So good to finally get back to writing for this blog! I was finally able to ask all of my beautiful bridesmaids to be apart of my bridal party. This was the most exciting little surprise I got to put together for my bride tribe!

I wanted to share with you all how I asked all of my bridesmaids to be apart of my special day.  If anyone is recently engaged and looking for unique ways for bridesmaid proposals, I hope this helps spark your creativity. I put together little boxes for each of my girls with personalized touches in each box!

I bought mini Rosé champagne bottles and the perfect little labels from Amazon that fit the bottle perfectly! They came in little packs of 12 and 2 said, “will you be my Maid of Honor” and the rest said, “will you be my bridesmaid.” Next came the champagne glasses I bought from the dollar store, and I used my handy Cricut machine to design and cut out “bridesmaids” into a sticker to make each glass personalized. I then added in Sugarfina Champagne gummy bears, because these will be playing a role in our wedding! (I can’t spoil the surprise yet!) I also decided that a Bath & Body Works Champagne Toast candle goes perfectly with the vibe of this bride tribe! (I also got the single wick candles when they were on sale of course) As a finishing touch, I wrote each of my girls a heart felt letter bringing back all of our memories together to let them know why I want to have each and every one of them to stand by my side throughout this whole wedding process! To top it off, we enjoyed all of the festivities at one of my favorite wineries, La Finquita! I highly recommend giving them a visit, because they have the best wine slushies for the summer, and now that the weather has finally cooled off, they have hot wine! A must try! Wedding planning is always so much fun, as it should be; but once you have your girls to be a part of the planning process, it gets a whole lot more fun!

I hope you all enjoyed what I had to share, don’t forget, no matter how you propose to your bridal party, they will be thrilled to be apart of your special day!

Love you all so much and thank you all for reading!!! Don’t forget to follow me @carolinelopresti for more posts!

Holiday Gift Guide!!!

Happy Tuesday! Only 2 more days until Thanksgiving, which means only 3 more days until BLACK FRIDAY!!! I may or may not be more excited about this Thanksgiving than I’ve ever been before. Reason being, this is my first Thanksgiving in 6 years that I don’t have to work through family dinner into the night and be up bright and early in the AM for the madness of Black Friday shoppers! WHOHOOO! So with that, I decided to start my shopping a little early, since I actually get to enjoy the sales this year rather than run from them because I hated being anywhere near a mall this time of year!
